"As we continue the process of implementing the ambitious vision and goals outlined in our strategic plan, bringing in top-flight professional leadership is critical. It is with this thought I am delighted to say that Erik Matson has agreed to join our team as the new CEO of the ASL and all our related assets/teams.  We will be creating a new holding company as we propel our growth.  With his appointment, it allows me the opportunity to focus on being our Global Sporting Director which will maximize our most precious resources, players and their development and identification of the next generation of American Soccer Professionals.  We are delighted that these outstanding executives will add their considerable talents to our leadership team," said Mathew Driver.   Matson added "He is ecstatic to be joining the efforts that Matt has created and adding his corporate and forty plus years of being involved in American soccer to further develop these franchises".

In addition, joining Matson will be a long-time colleague, Gary Preysner, a world-class operation executive who will be in a new role of President and COO.

"I am looking forward to continue to work with Mathew and our new teammates," said League Commissioner Dan Trainor.
