Ngwese Ebangwese

Boston, MA- Since arriving at United in the spring forward Ngwese Ebangwese has stormed his way through the American Soccer League, amassing 15 goals in 17 games. Wassay, as his friends and teammates call him, has used his rare combination of strength and technical skill to outmaneuver, out-muscle, and outright embarrass opponents throughout the league. Ebangwese took little time to adjust to United and the league, notching goals in two of his first three matches. The forward has continued to impress throughout the season, withstanding a short scoring drought mid-spring season by getting back on track before the break and having an exceptionally strong fall, helping United climb to the second seed in the ASL playoffs. His contributions have not been limited to goals, however, as Wassay has been a leader on and off the field, encouraging and cheering on his teammates no matter the situation. The battle for the ASL Championship begins November 6th with the semi finals followed by the final on November 13th. All matches will be played at Richard Wackar Stadium on the campus of Rowan University in Glassboro, New Jersey.
